Evening, fire is getting closer to the house. It burned right up to my brother's fence.

This is making me think I need to make an evacuation plan.
 
Just came in, cut a fire break around the property the best I could. And around the neighbors. With the dozer Moved a couple dump trucks, my boat, seadoos, grandpas car and our spare truck and travel trailer to a buddies a few miles away. It's raining ash. Fire is still a couple miles away but it can move fast around here.

My brother lost his hay barn, haven't heard from him in a few hours so could have lost more.
 
I would not want to see or hear of that happening to anyone.
I.hope tat the brothers home and all are safe.
 
Morning, just got back from seeing how close the fire is. It's maybe a half mile straight line. There is a dirt road behind us which they are trying to use as a break.
 
I hope the fire break you constructed is of some help to them, or at least helps with your property.
