I would like to have a shop with my living quarters in it.

That would be my shop, it was supposed to be an apartment upstairs.

I have a 30 x 40 two story shop that I used to think was big.

My 'detached' garage/shop. (me and my buddy, Kenzie, 68lb black Lab... me, the 6'3" 263lb white guy!!!)
3000sf on 1st floor 50'x60' with 1500sf on a second floor and a 12x12 room built off of the other side for storage, well pump, and the compressor. About a third of the second floor is shelves for storage, the other 1ksf is my get-away room!!!! Total SF is ~4,650 Sg Ft. First floor also has a double wash tub sink and a urinal !!!! All 6" insulated walls, textured and painted (5/8s rock over it all)
Two walkin doors, one double 12' high OH door and one 16' high OH door, with two large Evap-Cooler units.

There is a three car attached to the house 36'x27' ~970sf...
Also a 12'x20' garage 'shed' for the RZR... (new this year)
