I like the self checkout. I've been using it at Fry's since the pandemic started and I can fly through it so much faster than the regular checkout lines with cashiers and I can pack the bags of groceries how I like to.
Wait until you go thru the self checkout at Costco. Ya ever need to invert a case of water in a way that the scanner reads it? That ain't fun!

Local Walmart used to stop everyone and check receipts as you go out. I handed the manager a copy of the Missouri law that says that is illegal. They don't do it anymore.
