My other half's daughter and hubby took us down to Long Beach yesterday to spend time celebrating her birthday with the family. Ended up at San Pedro Fish Supply where we feasted on a $200 platter of shrimp, fish, lobster, sausage, taters, veggies, and so on. Damn, it was fantastic!

A few years back, my granddaughter qualified for the national gymnastics tournament. At 11, she was beating 18 year olds. When she hit puberty, she quit. She lost all interest in it.
I enjoy it to, just dont enjoy the scheduleI always loved going to my kids baseball, soccer, and basketball games. I miss it

It's over before you know it. My youngest played youth soccer and select baseball from 9 years old until he started on the HS varsity baseball team as a freshman. Even then in HS he played select all summer. He was goalkeeper on the junior high soccer team until he suffered a nasty concussion and switched to varsity golf his freshman year. I believe I never missed a single game of his... Except for the golf, which was a blessing because it's not a spectator sport and I was able to get some rest
It wore me out at times because it was constant but I really miss those days. It was very social with all the parents too. We lived in a rural area with no kids nearby so it gave my son some much needed friendships and activities.
