It poured all night. Woke up to another 4" of rain overflowing the pool. Now it is still cloudy, but the winds are coming on strong.

Ok peeps. Mama is booking us a flight to Atlanta, Georgia on April 22. We are spending 2 weeks touring the east coast. From Atlanta, to Augusta, Savannah, to Charleston, Fort Sumter, Myrtle Beach, Washington DC, Williamsburg, Gettysburg, Roanoke, Winston-Salem, Blue Ridge Hwy, then back to Atlanta.
Can anyone recommend sites to see along this route?

Yesterday, I had lunch with the new Chief of Police at my police station where I use to work for. He said they have just signed a contract and will be installing 3 drone domes on top of the police department. These drone domes will house the drones out of the elements, and the base is a charging pad for the drone. Our dispatchers will have full control of said drones, and when our dispatchers receive a 911 call for a prowler, a shooting or a possible house fire, one button will open the dome, and a second button will control the GPS coordinates. The drone will be dispatched to the 911 caller's location before the cops are dispatched. The drone will arrive anywhere in the city in less than a minute, and our dispatchers will have "eyes in the sky" immediately, and can guide the officers into the location safely. All video feed will be saved as evidence on a server, which will stop dispatch from playing or using the drones for peeping or any other nefarious reasons.

To me, this sounds like a real time saver as well as a life safer.

I also found out that we are losing another retiree cop, who is currently moving to Meridian, Idaho. They now have 6 retirees living within 30 minutes of each other, and will be starting their own Idaho retired cop breakfast club.
