We had dish for a while, seems we always lost service if it rained, snowed, wind blew, sun shined, frosted, hailed...you have any service issues?
That had been our problem the last couple months, they came and adjusted the dish last week and came today and fixed some bad cable connections.
I just switched to dish from Direct TV. Never had a single issues with Direct TV on their service side. Only reason I switched is because I wanted another box I could use when we take our RV out on trips and it was a pain, they wanted a separate account and bill me a monthly like it was another house, they wouldn't give me a second main box only those little ones that do nothing on their own. Dish was all about hooking up my RV at no extra cost so I switched. Slightly cheaper per month with a few extra channels.
I told Direct TV that I intended to watch TV at Lake Havasu, so for $8 a month I have a box I leave out at the lake. I did have to purchase a satellite dish from them for $100, and I hired a techy to zero in the dish and run the wires, and get all the channels I get here.
They wouldn't work with me. I already bought a new dish that works with either company for my rv. And it was electric and founds it's own satellites. Dish had no problem with giving me a second main box for my rv but direct wouldn't do it. Said they could only give me those smaller secondary boxes because I would have to have a second account for my rv or another house. Kept telling me it was a different address so they couldn't. I guess I will see how dish works for me? I assume great since I don't watch much TV anyway.
