Morning all.

Tom, one of our gun dealers on Glock Forum was asked about Kimber and this was his answer.

At retail, we had complaints over jams now and then. We always steered the customer to pointy nosed ammo as mentioned, at least for SD use.

Kimber's customer service has a reputation for taking their sweet time.

My personal problem with the firearm is it would be challenging for me to quickly draw and hit that small version of a 1911 safety lever.

Also, IMO, they are overpriced for what they are. They used to be all hand fitted and worked, now they use MiM parts like everyone else.

Morning. Doing some packing today, might try and sneak out to idaho this week

Guess it's all about who you talk to. Every gun store I looked at had less favorable opinions of glock than a lot of other brands I looked at. I looked at the sig9 glock 43, kimber, and talked to folks who own both, every Kimber owner I talked to loved them and had zero issues with feeding any kind of ammo. Guess I'll have to see how my milage varies. I always wanted a Kimber and decided its time to try one. Chevy/Ford debate I guess. Time will tell. And to be honest, all guns are over priced.

Come on over and we'll fire it up. Headed to the deer lease Thursday for a work day/gun shooting day.

556, 9, 40, 44, take your pick.

Hey Barrie!

Tom, I'll take the .44
I've got a Dan Wesson with a 6" barrel, I hit better with it than I do any other hand gun. Mild recoil and I carry it every gun season for white tail. I have a scope for it but just bring myself to drill it for the base.

I had a Ruger Blackhawk .44, for about a week. Cop needed money, sold me the gun, a week later began crying about missing his gun, I sold it back to him, and never got to fire it. Damn it!

I have a Ruger Security six in .44 and a Ruger Speed six in .357 both really nice guns.
