Na, im over it. I like making money but in reality if I work alone or have 20 employees I get paid about the same and sometimes make less having employees. I'd rather have more time and freedom

I found out with carpet installation, I made more working alone and worked fewer hours. Instead of making twice as much with a helper, I had to make three times as much. And most of the ones I could find were lazy. I changed my work model and just took jobs that I could do alone.

When I was in California I had a good crew, I didn't have to be on jobs unless I wanted to or things overlapped. I didn't get rich but I lived decent and didn't have to work 12 hour days. It's been nearly impossible to find good help here. The employment pool is much smaller and most who really know what they are doing have good jobs with one of the couple big companies here. I have some good guys but they are green.

I got a job offer, my hunting buddy owns a home improvement company, he has 2 salesmen and needs someone to sell repairs to roofs. We've kicked the idea around a couple times the last couple years and I'm bored to the point of doing it. Yesterday I put the brackets for my removable ladder rack on my truck. Guess the ***** getting real. Should be a couple days a week, good thing, I can haul my kayak on the rack when we go camping.

Glad I have a lot of hobbies, I could keep myself busy a long time. I have another buddy who retired from the California highway patrol and is now a flight attendant. Wait your whole life to not work then get bored and go to work.

Heck, I got plenty of hobbies. Seems everyone that I deer hunt or spend time at the deer lease with for work days, or kayak fish with are still working. Have to arrange camping trips around her watching the grandkids, and that's a whole nother issue.

I agree Ken. I did my time. There is not enough money in the world to go back into the workforce. Also, if I did, they would pull my $$ monthly pension away from me, I'd have to pay taxes, fill my gas tank, no range time, and it would be hard to find a boss that understood my afternoon naps are mandatory!
