The religion encourages it to a point that they live like bums never buying anything new which is good to an extent but why save all your money your whole life to never enjoy things and die.

I have never lived like a bum, and have bought a lot of new things, never, ever, neglegted to enjoy anything or do whatever I wanted to do, nor plan to die. My goal is to live forever and be a burden on everyone.... but then again I rebeled and walked away from them when I was about 13 years old !!!
Gotta be a reason you walked away. I tried and tried to give them a chance. I accepted all the odd stuff they do and will treat them as they treat me but once your bottom line of willing to screw another family over making a buck is where I draw the line. It's the same reason mormons don't work for other mormons. They don't feel bad ripping off non members

Reminded me of the Stephen King book "Cell" . In it, all the cell phones rang and anyone who answered got their brains scrambled.
Yes, I got the alert, but don't think it is stupid if we can get a fail proof regional way to alert folks of impending crises. Nationwide alerts, if that bad, just needs to say "bend over, kiss your ass goodbye!"
