I hate to walk away from it because they are profitable jobs. I just got another call/complaint about my foreman a few minutes ago. The Vice president of the company I work for was on the job with him Friday for 6 hours and my foreman said two words to him all day. He didn't like that. Complained that there was no communication.

If you don't need the income from the company, walk away from it. The last 10-15 years I installed flooring full-time, I worked alone. I not only made more money, I had fewer headaches.

I will need the money in 6-9 months. I have saved up for this. I would like to work more by myself or just one helper and local only. I have paid off all my equipment and have a very low overhead for my business and personal. I pay more for insurances than I do anything else. If it weren't for Obamacare we could live off my wife's income alone.
