So I think I am officially done with working in California. We have been doing a night time highway crossing for the last month and a half now. About two weeks into our three week job the inspector decided to hate my foreman. My foreman plays hard to like anyway so I don't worry to much, he does good work and always gets the job done. Well ever since it has been one thing after another for delays. We are three weeks over on labor and I am loosing my ass on this job. The lines have been in for two weeks now and we are ready to slurry backfill but he keeps finding something to have us redo, our problem is this is LA and the streets are already full of pipes so its a pain getting around all of them. We had him out Sunday night to inspect and all was good, I verified with him today that we were good and he said yes. Well he gets to the job and tells my guy to cancel the ten trucks of slurry that are on their way because he doesn't like a piece of pipe at the end of our line that was good to go on Sunday. My foreman called me so I called the inspector who tells me he never even inspected on Sunday night and that my guys pulled one plate and gave him a ladder and told him to climb under the plate so he left. First off my guys would never do that and second he is a liar. He told me that he never told my guys we could backfill yet when I verified it was all good.

At any rate I just threw away 12 grand tonight on a job that is already losing money because I have an inspector that doesn't like my foreman.

Well, made the decision today that this is the last project my company will do in California. I better get used to being poor for a while.

It's gonna be tough for a bit but I'll be fine. I started a company ince, I can do it again
