Very frustrating!Battery on Lexus died. Doors locked. Door opens electrically, so I called a tow. He said unless I give permission to break window, he was gone. I called Lexus who had a special tech call with a secret way to open it. I jumped, no good. 3 hours later, got car started, backed out of driveway and it died. Called tow truck, towed to dealer, and got a new loaner. What a day!
So does a Lexus. It is used to unlock the door. Problem is the door is electronically opened, and no battery, no open. He advised there is a hidden manual lever that pulls out from the underside of the door handle only on the driver's side. Our user manuals omit this tidbit of importance. My 2017 Fusion has a key hidden in the fob.

As does the Lexus but again, it only unlocks the door. The hidden lever overrides the electric door opener. My driver's side door handle has a little plastic cover that comes off for the key.

I'm using my phone to spy on what they are doing at the dealer. Right now, the front windows are down and the back hatch is open. This tells me they are slow charging the battery, when I insisted I get a new battery. My battery to run the car is in the back hatch. The hybrid battery is under the entire back seat.A battery dieing with 1 year and 3000 miles should not happen. The fight continues tomorrow. I sure wish I had Scout's jeep right now.
