I have a 100k skid steer that spends more time in the shop then on jobs. Its been broken down for a couple weeks. Went to drag it on my trailer and take it to the shop and it fired up. I hate this thing

The engine light turned on in the XT5 on my way home from Arizona last week. I tried to reset it, but nothing. I made an appointment to get the car checked at the dealer. Still activated. I go to the dealer on a Monday morning, and stay in line for 20 minutes, light still activated. I finally get to the service writer, get out to tell him my issue, he looks on the dash, and the light turned off. What a pisser. He said I could leave it, but it would take a day to diagnose it, bt there were no loaners available, and they quit their shuttle service. He said I could walk 7 miles home if I wanted. I mumbled FU, got in my car and drove home. Light hasn't come on since.

Bad sensor somewhere, it'll stay on eventually.

Then, on the way home from Arizona, it sounded like a ball bearing was rolling from side to side where the center console meets the dash. I tore that entire dash and console apart, but couldn't find anything. As soon as Lexus stops their absurd extra price over MSRP, I'll be going back to them.

You need to get a Jeep instead. That way check engine lights and strange noises are expected so you just don't worry about them.

Na, they quit making real jeeps in 2006. I wouldn't get a JK ( commonly referred as Just Kidding) if you paid me. And even the newer ones, the "WE", yeah, no. I just saw a stock Grand Wagoneer for $88k. Yeah, no.
