I'm guessing since they are grass fed, there is not much fat or flavor. They tried leaning it out more, but it was just dry and tasteless. This is I believe why it is 85/15 mix.

On another subject, I have been craving a good drive thru burger for months. Last Monday, I drove to a local great place, where I ordered a 1/3 pound burger, small fries and a small drink. Cost me $10.20. That's not the issue. This 1/3 pound patty was 4" in diameter, and about 1/4" thick. It looked and tasted like shoe leather. They placed this patty into a 6" diameter bun, loaded it with 1" of shredded lettuce, added a thin slice of tomato, so when I opened it, it was huge. I took 3 bites until I actually tasted beef, or whatever that shoe leather was. I feel this was more of a lettuce burger, with a small salami sized meat patty within it. I know everyone is cutting back to save pennies, but F that, never again will I go to Jim's Burgers.
Grass fed= I don't want to spend money on grain to grain them out.

All cows in this state are grass fed, if you don't grain them they have a game flavor. I like grained cow way better. Most cows that get ground are either old or not a good breed. We have one rancher that does that stuff and his butcher will butcher as long as the cow can stand when it shows up if that tells you anything.

Well, great.... :(
Just hope yours is an honest person, but they are hard to find in the cattle business. Regardless even old half dead poisoned beef tastes better and is better for you than that almost white light pink beef you get at the store. Once I switched I don't think I could go back.

If you ever want a half a cow let me know and I can get it to you.

Morning. couldn't sleep, shoulder hurting bad.
Iy will get better some day, not sure when but someday. Just don't be like me and screw it up as soon as it's healed.

Morning all. Had my lead guy call in sick. Looks like I have to work today.

I'd like a half cow... preferably one butchered.
