The hotel in Catalina we stayed at last weekend had amazing mattresses. I actually called the hotel, and they told me the brand (Beautyrest Harmony) but then mama thought it would be cool and get the head lift/foot lift bullshit, jacking up the price even more. It gets delivered today so tomorrow, I'll fill youz all in on whether it was worth it or not.

...this is a 'one horse town' and that horse is tired and old, the costs of things here are higher than most "in the City"....
The area population is almost 11k. Primarily a tourist destination with high price resorts.

Talked to a contractor I know today, I'm thinking of replacing my deck. Asked him if lumber prices were going to come down and he said that everything he's been told at the lumber companies is that these prices are the new normal.

My dad always reused lumber from buildings he tore down, that might be a thing again.
