Sell the new one?

The microwave i replaced was going into the trash today, until the kitchen painter said he would love to have it. Good riddance.

Look at the detail this kitchen painter did on one cabinet. He made some surgical cuts on the baseboards. Pretty happy with his work.

Oh joy, another 4 inches of snow overnight. Can't see where I shoveled yesterday.
Oh yeah, good morning from Siberia.

I'm glad I grew up in big bear and learned about freezing weather before I moved here

Years ago we lived in an old rental and the water lines kept freezing. So I created a trick. I took a paint stir stick, tied a string around the middle, tied a nut (off a bolt) on the other end. You can then raise the flapper, drop the nut down the water outlet to the stool and lay the stick across the flush box. The string running under the flapper keeps the water slowly running.

Idaho probably sells miles of heat tape every year.

I had a renter that kept getting frozen lines in the laundry room. Never had that problem before. Turns out he shut the house heat off and just had a fire in the living room and sealed off rooms he didn't use daily.

Chipped the ice off the truck, went to the post office, dropped a check off at the bank, stopped at Lowe's. They didn't have any checkout lanes open. Had to checkout at customer service desk. I just don't get it. Managers wandering around with a finger up their ass and they can't even open the self checkouts. 10 people in line and I guess they can't see them. If I ran a store it'd be different...

Sounds like Walmart, Home Depot etc. They don't seem to care.
