Jacked open a 2' hole looking for a leak. Saw they used a sharkbite fitting under slab, but it was dry. Saw no leaks, but plumber did replace a kinked copper line. After 4 hours scratching their heads, they THINK it is just ground water penetration since the visqueen plastic was ripped. Now I have an empty wallet, a hole I need to fill, then concrete, then drywall patch. I'm beat, and for what my friend charged me, he is no longer a friend.View attachment 5618

Mark, is there a plumbing vent close to that area?

No Tom, all pipes are buried and a 4" concrete slab over it.

I've seen vents leak that are on a verticle run.

We only have under eave vents but they are right at the roof line and not accessible to rain
