Morning Rusty.
Yeah personal truck is an 07 ram 2500 cummins with 218k on it. Have the 15 ram 3500 4x4 and an 06 chevy 2wd with service bed that just sits and the 03 3500 that I'm trying to sell.Sounds like you have it covered truck wise, your personal truck a 3/4ton?
Maybe I should try to sell off as much of my stuff just bring my toolbox and clothes.
Morning, to days list. Drop off a bunch of toys to donate, done. Take dump trailer to the landfill, done. Now to get that chevy done and out of my life
Lesson learned, do not buy a Bosch scan tool. I had a hundred dollar Bosch code reader and a 50 dollar actron code reader. The actron was a much better tool than the Bosch. Well I needed one that could do abs so I was looking to upgrade. Went to orielly since I have an account there and put based the Bosch 1350 professional scan tool, retails for 399. Brought it home today and plugged it in. It was the worst scanner to figure out how to use, not use friendly at all. I read the manual and googled how to read abs codes with it only on mine it didn't even have the option on the screen. I called tech support and he couldn't figure out why either, he had me look at the software and it showed that my brand new scanner was programmed in 2016 and the abs update didnt come out til 2017 so it must have been old stock. Ok so he has me go to my computer and spend two hours downloading crap only to find out this scanner wont recognize my computer as it's to new. So after five hours total wasted I drove back to the store and returned the piece of shit went to autozone where I never shop because I dont need Chinese bling for my car and they carry Innova scan tools which are pretty good ones. Their equivalent was retail at 224 bucks and did more than the Bosch, came with batteries and cables for my computer and is super simple to use. Got home and diagnosed the truck and had it fixed in 30 minutes.
I hate ABS. More trouble than it is worth.
I had no problem with the brakes on my old cars.It can be a pita at times.
I'm not 100 percent yet. Front left sensor was bad. When I went to change it I found a missing bolt in the caliper bracket and the other loose and both caliper bolts loose. The wheel was keeping it on. This is why you dont allow employees to work on stuff. I cleared the code when I swapped it and the code went away but the light came back on. I'm hoping it just needs to be driven so the computer knows it's working since abs cycles as you drive .Glad to hear that you got it figured out, what was the ABS problem?
I agree especially on chevys that are prone to problemsI hate ABS. More trouble than it is worth.
And you wont, they work or they dont. I never could tell if abs worked any better. Seems in a hard break with abs is slowed me down slowerI had no problem with the brakes on my old cars.

I did, I'm suprised it made it. 1000 miles, luckily 99 percent of it is just cruise control. I was towing a 10k trailer too. I was more than upset when I picked it up and found out is was in this bad of shape. I had only owned it two years and it had no issues when I got it. Now that I have it back to good shape part of me doesn't want to get rid of it. It's a nice truck.Damn you drove it from California that way didn't you?
That's good, drums can be intimidating. Most adults wont touch them. I always want to learn so I'll attempt anything.A couple years ago, a kid who lived across the street pulled the front wheels and drums off his mother's old van. He just stood there and looked at the brakes. I grabbed some tools and went over to see if he needed some help. He had no idea. I told him to watch me close. I put shoes on one side in 10 minutes. Then told him he was doing the other one. Took him about an hour, but he learned something. Showed him how to adjust them before putting the drum on. Most kids don't want to learn.
