It's pretty much how all the houses are in Capitol Hill. It's a really beautiful area with historic homes and a lot of brick streets. I think it was built in the early 1900's but was just completely renovated. They have a yard in the back and a deck off the second story and lots of big windows front and back.

A friend made me a small side table for when I have coffee in my chair. It's pretty cool. He welded the chain and weight and used raw edge local Juniper for the top.

My son gave me a video tour of their house this morning. It's really cool and I can't wait to visit them!

I agree and could not do city living like that either. But when I visit I find that they keep busy. I'm happy they will now have a back yard with a huge tree so they can finally get a dog. My son said there's a community garden a half block away behind them where they can get a plot to grow vegetables on. They love to go to the farmers market and cook together and she bakes everything from scratch. Every weekend they walk to different sites and parks. And now they'll be busy with home maintenance too

I bought a zero turn mower, best investment ever. Cut 20 minutes off my mow time.

I'm sitting on the picnic table in the back where my property was cleared watching flocks of quail, a rabbit, and a family of chipmunks. It's super peaceful.
