For some reason when Biden was firing federal workers for refusing the vaccine, not one Democrat spoke up. But firing federal workers for wasting taxpayer money is the end of democracy as we know it according to the democrats.

Not turning against Trump, I voted for him 3 times. I just think some of the stuff he is doing will really hurt the poor. Cutting Medicaid and SNAP. Firing new RNs and CNAs in VA clinics and hospitals, where they are already short-handed. Local VA clinic has 3,000 patients. They have one DR., one RN and a receptionist. They finally got approval for a 2nd nurse and Trump's order stopped that.

By the way, the woman on the news is local. She was getting her life extended, she has ALS, by an experimental drug. Trump has cut off funding for all experimental drugs. My shot is in that category.
On the other thing I posted about the VA clinics, my sister was the nurse for the local one for 5 years. The money for a 2nd nurse was cut off when Trump cut some of the funding for the VA. So there is one nurse, one doctor and a receptionist for 3,000 patients. The next closest clinic is 110 miles. They no longer provide transportation to go there.
Yeah, my daughter runs a lab at UCLA, and federally funded. She is also worried, but lots of doctors need this lab, so the school will maybe fund it... hopefully.

Much of the stuff we import is not made here and it would take years to build factories. Most of my carpet supplies were not made in the US. If I was still installing I would have to raise my prices.
Why do you think I'm paying $20 for a burger. Seems everyone just pushes the profit to the consumer.

You pay $20 because wages are so high there. Still get a good one for $7-$8 here. But it will go up with the tariffs and wages won't. Breakfast has gone up $1 with the higher price of eggs.
Our breakfast places add an additional $.50-$1.00 per egg, for egg dishes. A 4 egg onelet, add $4.00 to your bill.

Ours is not adding anything yet.
Im glad I've simplified my life, we don't buy much. We raise our meat and grow vegetables. Don't go out. It's just maintenance stuff for us but it's manageable. My business has taken a hit but I try to push it to the end user like everyone else.
