At the Walmart where I used to live in California they have that. Wish they did everywhere, it was nice parking in the shade.

They do it at the schools here. The Cincinnati zoo did it in their parking lot also. That's a great zoo and botanical garden.

If you’re planning tyranny, at least don’t put it in writing. That seems to be the guiding principle behind the Harris-Walz administration’s 2024 Democratic Party Platform. In terms of gun control, their once radical ideas are now missing or appear watered down.
The campaign platform includes its gun control plans, called “Protecting Communities & Tackling the Scourge of Gun Violence.”
According to the platform, the Democrats want:
Universal background checks
“Assault weapon” and standard-capacity magazine bans
Mandatory safe-storage laws
Repeal of the Protection of Lawful Commerce in Arms Act
Increased red-flag laws
Increased funding for the ATF
Increased funding for the FBI, to conduct more background checks
Increased funding for the CDC, “because the gun violence epidemic is a public health crisis”
Most of these ideas are unconstitutional, and all have been floated before. They’re bad enough, but the real issue is what was not included in the platform, because if Harris and Walz told voters their true intent, they’d never get elected.

Yeah school shootings. I remember reading a list of them. One was a kid shooting at an empty school bus with a BB gun. But they counted it. Just like mass shootings. Most are gang bangers in the inner city.
We still teach Boy Scouts shooting here. We have youth competition shooting. Kids start deer hunting at age 6 and we don't have school shootings.
Kids in many areas are taught they will always win and can never fail. They are taught that all are equal. When they do fail at something, they strike out. When they find out that they are not equal, there are kids smarter than they are, they strike out. Quit this competition trophy crap and let kids lose occasionally. It is good and normal to lose sometimes.

As for the latest school shooter, He had threatened to shoot up a school last year but the FBI investigated and decided he was not a threat.
