My new garage door is getting installed in the next 20 minutes. I have to get the cars out, and move my compressor. I can't wait for the new door, as my wind damaged door is looking like it is ready to fall off the track.

They are here installing risers on my septic system. I wanted that done before my landscaper starts on the backyard. For the life of me I don't understand why the risers aren't routinely installed with the septic tank

Because keeping below ground is less stinky. Here max is 18 inches deep

The top of the tank is 18" below the surface. They left the concrete lids on and just installed risers and caps so it can be accessed without having to dig.... so there's no smell. In Ohio they installed the risers when they installed our system. I just thought it was weird when I moved here that every time you want to pump it out you have to dig up your yard.

It's pretty common. It all depends on location for what you want showing or not and usually when we install we have no idea what the landscaping will be unless there is a plan.

Yeah, agreed they're not the prettiest things to have in the backyard, but it's better than having to dig up everything after I've paid for landscaping. Once it's graveled in that area they'll probably be partially covered with rock and not as noticeable.
