It's going. I think dad might have kinda recognized me a little. My uncle is here and I asked my dad who he was and he said his brother but that is the extent of any recognition. Still not on hospice care but not a good quality of life either. His wife is supposed to be making decisions but is dragging her feet. I kept talking to dad asking him questions about familiar things in his life and he will kinda make small talk but no clear sentences. Doctors say he wont get any better and is getting worse by the day. They say if he was on traditional hospice he wouldn't make it a day. He is on 5 meds that they say are keeping him alive. They are saying as long as the meds are given it could be up to a couple months in this condition or coma. His wife is supposed to let them know when to start stopping the meds. I wouldn't put it past her to keep him alive to the 1st just for another retirement payment.
Have you interacted with her yet?
Also, keeping him alive until the first of 2019 ensures a huge tax write off all next year.
She came by for a few and was civil.
