Evening Chris, how is your friend doing?
Pretty good considering the situation. Helping him get things settled and learn how to manage his bills and life. Probably not going to be able to go back to construction working 4am til 6pm with two young kids. Pretty shitty situation, helping him go through bills we are finding out that while he was out of work for almost a year on disability with a bad broken foot she had opened up handfuls of credit cards to keep the house afloat. He is just finding out he is about 40k in debt at the same time. He knew they were struggling but didnt know the extent, she took care of all the finances and everything. My wife has gotten all her legal death stuff taken care of and we are trying to get her SS set up for the kids and my goal is to get his finances in order so he knows where he stands and can start moving forward and not get stuck in a rut. It makes it hard because they are some of the best people you could know and never ask anyone for anything. In the last couple years he lost his mom then broke his foot so bad he almost missed a year of work, then his dads house burned down with no insurance. Just one thing after another. But on top of all that he is holding up and his head is in the right direction trying to move forward.
