Good deal, keep it up. Not easy, I know. Been fighting blood sugar here. Lifestyle changes at our ages are not the easiest thing to do.

Evening guys. Took my truck to the dealer. I had bought a package of three oil changes for 210 bucks. Normally an oil change there for my dually is 104 and then another 265 for fuel filters. A scam and ripoff in my opinion but as long as it's under warranty I dont want to screw it up so I pay them. I went for my third oil change and was told I voided the agreement and didn't get the oil change because I had gone more than 10k since my last change. I told him him that ram according to my owners manual this truck is built to go 15k between services. He said that the 10k was what their deal stated (not that they ever told me) he then tried to sell me on another three oil changes for 210 bucks. I ended up telling him no thanks as this is the last time they will ever see my truck. Paid the 370 for oil and fuel filters and left. It has been bugging me all day.

I hope they were at least nice enough to give you a reach around for that price..
I cringe every time I take it to them. If it weren't under warranty they would never see me but knowing my luck a motor will go out and they would deny my claim because i did my own oil change. I priced out the filters at my supply house and they were less than 20 bucks each, when I ask them why theirs are 100 bucks each they say it's because they are that much better than theirs. It wouldn't be so bad but the service guy is a complete douche. I mentioned if they have worked on a recall for the headlights flickering off at night. Every ram does it, both my new ones do and a simple Google search brings up pages of complaints about it but he said that was the first he had ever heard of it, of course that's what he said last time I brought it up too.

They all do it seems to be the typical dealer response.

Morning. Chris, it is my understanding that unless THEY can prove you violated your warranty, your warranty will be valid. No where it says you MUST have a dealer do the oil changes. Obviously consult with an attorney for the final answer. Also, a friend of mine found a trick. He went to a local Indian reservation and befriended someone in the auto parts store. He got them to believe he was part of the Indian nation and the filter price was cut in thirds for doing so. You have a reservation nearby?
