Good damn morning, You all!
Well the "animal" is already half dead.Afternoon, 5 foot is far to shallow for the flowers I like to plant but I do like your "fertilizer" method. My backhoe will dig 17'6" deep and I have a lot of experience getting 95% compaction rate.

Don't worry o live remote enough and in a place where people don't ask questions. I'm sure tgere is a few hogs buriedNote: 5 ft would be a minimum. Deeper the better.
Hey, here is an idea... You could ask for the FIL's help and ask him to hold the lantern!!!!!
A good backhoe 'bump' on the legs would make it easier to roll up the 'burito', no running away. There might be a squeal (from the animal) for a short while but after about 3-4' of dirt on top no one would hear.
