There was very little in that pile I would take and I like junk. I couldn't believe the attachment. Anything that came up that was his wife's was ok to toss but that box of old VHS recorded movies that has been sitting out in the weather for 15 years had to be saved. I filled my 20 foot enclosed trailer with mostly trash and now he had to rent a uhaul for 3800 bucks to haul about 250 bucks worth of stuff and a bunch of trash. I don't get the mentality.
A friend who owns storage units says that most people who rent one spend more on rent the first month than the value of the crap in it.

He is spending more on the truck and fuel to move this stuff than he could ever sell it for. Even buying it all new would be close to what the truck cost.
^^ WEBER grills are usually good.

Ken
That is one thing I would probably keep.

Done with day two of packing what was supposed to be boxed and ready. At least one more day will be needed. Already have 26 hours in two days working on this.

Talked to my wife and her mom plans on divorcing him soon, I asked why she is bothering bringing him out if that is the case. It's because she wants him out of the house. My wife is done with both of them. Luckily I can tolerate anyone so I am not overly bothered. I'm just a pawn in their game right now.

You have a LOT more patience than me... I would have called for a dumpster and been done!!!

Seriously!!!!

Went smooth. A friend "inspected" it. maybe 2 minutes. paid taxes, about 20 minutes, DMV 10 minutes. All our DMV places are privately owned, so in and out makes them more money. They only make $2 per customer.

Morning all. Seems funny that California has yet to jump on that vehicle inspection bull crap. Think of the money they could swindle if it was enacted. I guess they don't want to harass the illegals with their '65 Cheby Impalas scraping the ground?

Our state is considering dropping it. Insurance statistics show that it doesn't make things safer.

When I was in Texas 2 weeks ago, my daughter had to take her 2016 Kia Sportage to the inspection station and pay money to get her tags. Yeah, even California does not require smog checks until the car is 3-4 years old.

Only smog checks here are in St Louis. Our safety inspections only cover lights, exhaust, brakes. Inspection is $12. Two year tags are $55. Taxes on 4 vehicles and two trailers is $73.
