Is it wrong of me to think it was my father in law

This is my theory. From knowing he will lie to the death to not look bad I think he was checking out the gun and took it to his man cave and forgot to put it back. Instead of saying he had it he will say it wasn't him to save embarrassment.

I don't get it, my truck was unlocked for 20 minutes while he was out there to put a tool back in it. He was by the truck at the only time it could have been broke into. The alarm was set at all other times and no forced entry. They didn't take my wallet or the 600 bucks that was in it sitting right next to the flashlight tgat got stolen as well. It just doesn't add up in my head

What gun?
Maybe pull him aside, tell him your theory, and say you don't want to make a big issue out of it, you just need the gun back, and you are sure he forgot to put it back. If he denies it, remember to make a police report if you haven't already.

You haven't meet him have you. He is a Neanderthal that was raised by wolves with a short fuse and compulsive liar.

I filed a report already. He just snuck out to his what I call a tweeker room, his attic in the garage. He always has something to hide, question is what this time?

What model of gun?

What does your wife say?
It was my DB9, nothing special and a cheap one but I liked it.

Haven't had much time to talk to my wife but she probably thinks the same as me.

Then he would be the ONLY one with access....
I'd kick his ******* door in while he's somewhere and tear his place apart. Go through his vehicle like a dog looking for a bone. Sit on his damn chest search the dumb **** and start smashing his face until he gave it up.

She is gonna send him out today and I'm going to search his hangout room. Problem is yesterday while I was in Arizona he had his tweeker buddy over who probably has my gun now.

I could be all wrong too and hope I am but it is just hard to get it through my head any other way

I am so lucky I had a great FIL. Mine left me all his guns when he passed. 2 rifles, 2 shotguns and a handgun.

Mine gives me a headache every time I see him. He is very dificult to do anything with. He is constantly getting in argument with strangers and family due to his problems but nothing us ever his fault. He lies and tells stories that are not true. He us not the kind of guy you can sit and have a beer with. Very socially awkward.

Checked out the tweeker pad and confirmed everything I ever thought about the guy except where my gun is. I didn't search because it was disgusting up there with drug paraphernalia everywhere and stacks of porn taller than me.
