so friday night i went to bed around 8pm ( feeling like dirt ) so at around 9:30 i knew something was wrong and had the wife drive me to the ER. i was pasty white and lips had a tinge of blue.
i was taken right in hook up to various machines got a look at my 02 saturation it was low wicked low it was between 78-80% . they started pumping me full of steriods/ Adrenalin/ and all sorts of good ****. chest X-rays/ EKG the works (all with no ins YEA me) so i'v come down with pneumonia. the gave me a 2 hour breathing treatment and that still has me wired like a cat having spaghetti shoved up it's ass.
so they cut me loose in the wee hours with a hand full scrips and some pretty stern orders.
as of Friday night i have sworn off cigarettes (that episode scared the **** outta me ). it also turns out that i have COPD.

Afternoon Stephan, sorry to hear, you gotta stay off the butts. I've had COPD for three years now and smoking can make it worse and you'll wind up on oxygen.

Bought a cord of split, seasoned oak yesterday. $130. Guy stacked it for another $10. I have T posts set up so that I can make sure I am getting a full cord. He actually brought more than a cord. His wife is an old customer, did a lot of work in rentals for her.

Our furnace died. I can either pay $10,000 for a new one or burn a few cords of wood every winter. I set up the wood stove about three years ago when an ice storm was expected to take out the electricity.
