Chris, you will be fine. I've witnessed you busting your ass for years, and I know it won't stop, so follow your dream while you are still healthy enough to stumble, then get back up, without breaking any bones.

I'm far too young to retire, just trying to lighten the stress load I have had the last few years and actually enjoy what I do. I really enjoy the type of work I do but didn't like the headache California made it to be. Hoping I can call into whatever I should be doing.
We don't have a lot of regulations here. Most of the rural areas don't have building codes and are not zoned. I don't even need a license or insurance. I had both when I was full time, but not anymore. Getting a license was going in and giving them $25 and they gave you the license.

I've been doing some small repairs, have them pay me direct, larger jobs that needs more than a repair I've been giving to the guy I've been hunting with for the past 13 years. He owns a roofing company and runs the job, less headache for me and I still can make a little here and there. Spending to much time at the house is not good for my health or relationship...

Evening, yes mark fly fishing is big here.

Today I got up and left early, drove up the mountain behind my house to a town called cascade. Limbed, cut and loaded several trees all in the rain. My old boots gave out on me so my feet were soaked. Then it started snowing. Just got home with my share of the wood. Saw a few herds of elk while up there.
