Saturday morning just after sunrise a doe came running by my stand followed by a really nice 8 point. He stood about 10 yards out behind a tree, he took a couple steps and paused. Safety off, hammer cocked. I had the crosshairs on his shoulder, finger on the trigger and let him walk. I have a couple on the wall his size, I still have a target buck or 2 we've caught on trail cams.
