Evening, thinking of redoing the kitchen cabinets. We have maple cabinets with pine doors and a hickory floor. Windows are trimmed out in pine and pine Baseboard. I dont like the different types of wood. The floor is beautiful, the cabinets are nice and match fairly well but not perfect and I hate the doors. They should have gone with alder or whatever that other door material is. I'm debating painting or coating the cabinets and door to match. What would you guys do? I've never been one to paint wood so that is my only hold up. My wife redid the bathroom cabinets and they look really good.
My cabinets were white ash. I painted them with a hard white enamel, and couldn't be happier. Problem is with lots of kidlets, maybe white wouldn't be my first choice.
