On the water at daybreak this morning in my new kayak. 2-1/2' bigger than my old one, 35lbs heavier and I can't believe how much more stable this one is and how much easier it paddles. The seat is like sitting in a recliner, we only fished for a little over 3 hours and my butt felt like I just climbed on. On my old one, I would have been bitching about my sore tailbone.
What kayak is it? I'd like a more comfortable one.

Somebody is screwed. We dug a house foundation and the footings guy twisted the house because he thought it was going to be too close to a property line. They poured the footings and built the walls. I told them that things were way tight on the opposite side and there was room on the one they were moving. I go to lay out the rest of this house and now the opposite side is 3 feet too close to the property line. Don't know how they are gonna fix this.

A " variance" ?

I contracted a house in Co Spgs, FULL basement, contractor/developer poured the footings AND the walls. Two feet to close to the property line. The "developer" went to the city and was granted a Variance. The neighbor filled a law suit, That is where I told them, I was out. I got my deposit money back and then some. After about a year they ended up tearing it all out.... and I was all ready in another house in the same development.

Several years ago, I rolled a piece of vinyl out in a kitchen. At the end where it went into the utility room, the outside wall ran out 3 inches in 6 feet. When I asked the contractor about it, he said the foundation was poured crooked, so he built the house to fit it.
Same guy, in a million $ house. Stairs leaned sideways, cabinets fit on both ends of a wall but there was a 2" gap in the middle, all of the door openings were different sizes (none standard), he curved the sheetrock to the shower stall, when it got hot outside, all of the vinyl siding swelled up and fell off.
Oh he finished the roof of a house and left off the dormer. And I saw other jobs that were worse.

I recommended a variance. Its not my deal as I dug it correct but they didn't measure it out like I did and guessed. Never guess when things are so tight. They are meeting tomorrow at 9am to see what happens

Started a dig on a big custom home today and the neighbor came out screaming about her view. This new house sat 20 feet out behind hers and blocked the view of the other neighbors yards. My recommendation was not to by the house next to an empty lot and left to let them figure it out. The builder compromised and moved it forward 9 feet which only screws me

So I'm still having phantosmia and parosmia from covid. Phantom smells and weird smells. Mostly everything smells like burnt cloth and tastes ar distorted. Whiskey was still good until yesterday it just tasted like rotten mildew. Still tastes like it. I'm disappointed. At least beer still tastes normal.
