We have Juan Carlos coming this morning to start on the kitchen. My poor old dog is confused about as much as I am.

Me too...oh wait... I did... Never mind. Chris, it ain't all its cracked up to be, don't rush it. Hardest part of being retired is keeping yourself busy. You may think you have stuff to do, but after a while you run out of things you want to do.

Your health tends to deteriorate too. You lose muscle tone and strength. 10 years ago, I would put a 300 lb roll of carpet on my shoulder and carry it in. Now I have trouble picking up my toolbox.

Yep, I use to think nothing of grabbing a 75# bundle of shingles, or tossing a 100# roll of modified roll roofing on my shoulder and climbing a ladder. Not anymore for this oldfart.

Used to do all my own roofing, grew up helping my father. Now I can barely climb a ladder.
