With all the fires burning California, you'd think sooner or later they'd run out of combustible material. Maybe it's just liberal bullshit going up in flames. We should be so lucky.

If they would ever log the place or even let you cut wood. Things might be different.
 
Nature burned it off forever. Now they won't even clean out the underbrush. No wonder it gets out of control. And they allow new homes to be built in areas that burn naturally.

I grew up in the mountains of California, we could barely use the woods let alone help maintain it.
 
Stopped and bought some files to sharper a chainsaw blade. First time in my life I've sharpened something and made it sharper. There may be hope after all. Usually I sharpen something then throw it away.

If you are gonna do it more than once get the new stihl chainsaw sharpener, its 40 bucks but makes it like a factory sharpening every time. And is dummy proof. Best investment I've made for my saw. And only takes a couple minutes with no vice.
 
Evening Chris, is 4wd necessary out there?
Only in the snow, you can get away without it but I like having it. Highways are kept pretty clear. I wont own another 2wd vehicle but I use my 4wd all the time working in the mountains towing.
 
The last three years we haven't had more than 4 inches of snow at a time at my house.
